How To Do A GoVaWi In Clash Of Clans Effectively

GoWiVa is a quite new Clash of Clans attack strategy and not many players know about it. I would like to say that GoWiVa is a perfect alternative version of the GoWiPe strategy and much stronger . The name of this strategy is based on 3 main troops that we use: Golems, Wizards and Valkyrie. The best TH levels to use this strategy are Town Hall 8, 9

As we all know, GoWiPe is the most popular attack strategy in Clash of Clans. As a Town Hall 9 player, you may find that GoWiPe is perfect for a 2-star win but it’s still quite hard for achieve the last star against an almost maxed TH9 base. We need a replacement for P.E.K.K.A, which has high damage, better movement speed and attack speed,… and it is the Valkyrie.

Army Composition

The composition of GoWiVa is mostly the same as GoWiPe (P.E.K.K.As get replaced with Valkyries). At the first time, I strongly recommend you use this composition because it works perfectly with almost Town Hall 8  and 9 bases. You can modify it and find the best one for you after a few times.
Golems: x2 (one in clan castle )
Wiz:x15
WallBreakers:x5
Valkyries:x15
Healing Spell:x2
Earhquake Spell:x4 (one in clan castle)

Inside your clan castle you can carry  golem and an earthquake spell.
Don’t use this strategy when either your Golem is level 1 or your Wizard is level 3. Wall Breakers also play a big role in this strategy, you may also want to get them to level 5 as soon as possible. The higher level troops and spells are, the easier your attack is. Never use this composition until you have maxed Army Camps (220 at TH9).
Main attack strategy idea:
The routine of this strategy is pretty simple, just like GoWiPe, GoHo or other ones:
  1. Drop your Golems and followed by your Wizards to take down buildings outside( Do not deploy all your wizards save 2-3 till last for cleanup ), create a funnel by sending Wall Breakers .
  2. Drop the Barbarian King and the Archer Queen.
  3. Take down Clan Castle troops and the enemy Heroes.
  4. Send Valkyries, heal them when needed.
  5. 3 stars.
  6. Didn't understand do not worry i have a video setup at the end of this page.Just don't skip these and go to video directly because you will miss some key points
Lure or not lure?

  • Lure: Just do it If you can lure the Clan troops out .Most of the time, you will face a Dragon.
  • Not Lure: If the Clan Castle is centralized and hard to lure. You can deal with them later with your Wizards.

Some important notes

You should care about these things during the attack:
  • Try to cover as many defenses as possible with your Golems.
  • Mortars and Wizards can kill your Wall Breaker Squad anytime. Watch them and drop your WBs wisely.
  • Don’t forget your Heroes. Activate your Queen’s abily when she is nearly killed (or when she starts attacking a defense with red HP). Activate your King’s Ability when his HP turns to yellow so he can live with the raged ability as long as possible.
  • Just Zoom-In and you can easily watch your Valkyries HP.
As I said before, this GoWiVa strategy is almost like GoWiPe so you can do it perfectly If you are a fan of GoWiPe. Using Valkyries is much easier than using P.E.K.K.As. You will find it is much easier to go to the core than using GoWiPe. Don’t forget to use Wall Breakers wisely, they are the keys to go inside every base.

Some FAQ's

I am a new Town Hall 9, how should I upgrade my troops?
If you want to use this strategy, you should upgrade your Golems at first, then Valkyries, Wizards and Wall Breakers. Also, don’t forget to upgrade your Healing Spell. No need to upgrade earthquake spell.Try to upgrade both heros above level 15.
Why should I use Valkyrie?
  • Very powerful in Clan War, trophy pushing and even farming.
  • Very easy to use (much easier than P.E.K.K.A).
  • Very fun to use.

After getting a hand on this strategy you can modify your Troops and Spells

I suggest you can try these out yourself
  1. You can use Haste for a big group of Valkyries. You don’t need extra damage from the Rage because Valkyries have a ton of damage themselves. It’s maybe more efficient way to speed them up. You can replace 1 Healing Spell with 4 Haste Spell If you want to do something different at Town Hall 9.
  2. If the base you are going to attack has ground CC troops, you may don’t want to use Poison Spell as your Valkyries and Wizards can take them out quickly. It’s better to use a Earthquake Spell or Haste Spell.

.

  1. Not neccesary that you spread your golems just make sure most of the defenses are on both your golems and the later deployed wizards are not in defense range
  2. Do not deploy all your wizards save 2-3 for last minute cleanup
  3. Always try to funnel your troops into the core.

Hope this guide helped you.

War Bases 2016 (with bomb tower)

The offense can win games, but defense wins championships – or in our case Clan War Base Designs win Clan Wars. Most of you may focus on getting as many stars as possible, but did you realize that you also could have won your last war if your opponent got a few stars less than they actually got? Protecting your base’s stars with a Clan War Base Design with Air Sweeper that rocks is just as important as successfully squeezing out as many stars out of your opponent as possible. Please also keep in mind that Clan Wars are a team competition and just improving your own layout is not changing much

Most of us probably had a Farming Base that somehow turned into a War Base for Clan Wars once they were available. At this point, you should have an established War Base that is completely separate from your Farming Base. There are major differences between making a successful Farming Base and a successful War Base – this post will show you some good War Base Designs.
Maybe you’re not looking for an all new War Base Layout? Just check out this post about how you can create a solid War Base Layout yourself.
The Base Designs are updated with the October 2016 Update with all up to date structures & Bomb Tower

Town Hall 5

Try to spread the Builder’s Huts in the corners because sometimes the time runs out before your attacker can reach all of them – preventing them from getting your last star.

Town Hall 6 War Base Layouts with Air Sweeper and 2 Air Defenses

Air Sweeper TH 7 War Base with Anti-Dragon and Anti-Hog Rider Features and Air Sweeper for 2016 (with 3 Air Defenses)

War Base Designs for TH8 (Anti Hog Rider and Anti Dragon including Bomb Tower)

This first base is pure Anti Dragon and Anti Hog Rider material. The trap setups are very hidden and attacker have 3 spots to assume double Giant Bombs against their Hog Rider (too much to take a chance). Dragon attacks will fail either because of the Air Sweeper or the inside Air Defenses.

Town Hall 9 War Base with Bomb Tower (Anti Dragon War Base and Anti Hogs War Base Designs)

With Town Hall 9 you’ll face one big problem – you’re very vulnerable against Hog Rider and Dragons. You can shake them off easily by choosing the right design because the experienced player will keep their hands of your base if they spot your preparations and the Troops Spammer will not get 3 Stars. The major factor that you have to have is your Archer Queen inside the Core because she will take out Hog Rider by Hog Rider and they will simply fail. To keep Dragons away have the Air Defenses in your Core as well. Here are some designs I updated lately:

Anti Miner, Anti Bowler, Anti Valkyrie Town Hall 10 War Base

At Town Hall 10, the strategy is getting a little modified. In this range, we want to prevent our Clan Castle Troops getting pulled at any costs. The cornered Storages will not work here anymore because you have so many buildings that you fill out most of the map anyway. If you recently upgraded to Town Hall 10 and don’t have the Inferno Tower you should better use one of the Town Hall 9 War Bases above. The bases I feature here are mostly against Miner, Bowler and Valkyries and LavaLoonion.

This TH10 War Base is great because the Town Hall offset makes the Clan Castle Troops almost impossible to lure without investing some serious Troops. Here’s how the attacks so far went:
  • Hog Riders just get destroyed near the Core (Multi-Target Infernos and double Giant Bomb packs). No chance they ever will see any Stars
  • Balloon-based attacks will also get pretty destroyed behind the Air Defenses from the Multi-Target Infernos and Hidden Teslas. The Air Traps cover the areas where no Air Defenses cover. Never got destroyed for more than 2 Stars (very skilled attacker)
  • Mass attacks like Miner and Bowler will just not funnel into the core and won’t get all the stars
I hope you found some new ideas for your personal base layout

Tips & Tricks That One Must Know About Clash

If you're not familiar with Clash of Clans, it's a a game where you build forts with gold and elixir resources. Buildings are dragged and dropped however players like, and resources are collected and stored periodically throughout the day as they check in. Over time, players build an army of various troop types. They can be taken on single player missions to raze the villages of nearby goblins, or on raiding parties of neighboring villages. Similarly, other players can raid your town. Don't worry, nothing is permanently destroyed, though adversaries can snatch some of your gold and elixir. Players earn and lose trophies through their multiplayer raids to determine rank, and band together in clans in order to earn even more loot in sprawling group battles.

It sounds simple, but there's a lot more to it, and we're here to help!

1. Revenge is a dish best served often

Revenge
Revenge

Like it or not, it will often be the case that you get attacked while you are away and your shield is down. Sometimes you will get plowed, and that sucks but getting attacked also presents a rare opportunity! When reviewing the list of punks who defaced your village while you were away, you have the choice to Revenge to attack them back. This is a huge strategic advantage, because you can look at their village before attacking, and plan your attack even train different units for a special assault. I recommend checking their storage's (which you can do visually, or better yet by clicking on them and checking their levels), and also the location of their Town Hall. Since you may have a big list to go through, check farmers first (folks that attacked you with just a few units then gave up) since they are likely to have big resource stockpiles. If an opponent is shielded or online, just check back later.

2. Raiding and Town Hall level

Raiding
Raiding

There are a variety of factors that affect how many resources you can steal from an opponent, but there is one huge one: Town Hall level. If your opponent is at your TH level, or 1 level above or below, you get a 100% modifier on what you can steal. However, if your opponent is 2 levels above you get a 125% modifier, and if 3 levels above you get a 150% modifier. Moreover, that same opponent would get a 50% and 25% modifier (respectively) for any attempt to revenge you. Given the current Town Hall level cap, this makes Town Hall level 7 a very attractive level to farm from. It will be hard to take down TH 9 opponents, but there will be the occasional easy target but more importantly your resources will be relatively safe from the toughest opponents. Your Town Hall level also affects the cost to search for new opponents when matchmaking, which can really start to add up at the higher levels.

3. Lightning Spell away Mortars

Lightning Spell
Lightning Spell

After initially tinkering with each spell, you might start to think Rage is the only way to (or Jump if you've unlocked it). These spells are pretty powerful, and offer some huge strategic advantages, but they are also quite expensive and take a long time to create. Maybe you've forgotten, or given up on the Lightning Spell because it seemed too weak. Well its time for a second look. A 4+ star Lightning Spell will almost wipe out a level 4,5 Mortar. If an opponent has placed a Wizard Tower or second Mortar nearby, you can take out the pair with two spells. Wiping out critical splash damage defences like this can allow your horde troops (barbs, Archers, and Goblins) to shred the remaining single target defences.

4. Dropping trophies with heroes

Demotion In Clash Of Clans
Demotion In Clash Of Clans

If you play the game long enough, at some point you will probably want to ditch some trophies. The game is basically about bullying people smaller than you, and after a meteoric rise you may find that the competition gets a little too tough for your liking. So you want to lose on purpose, but doing so generally costs you troops, training time, and elixir. Enter the hero. If you are lucky enough to have acquired one or both of these titans, you can use them to drop trophies essentially for free. Start a match, drop your hero, and then end the battle before they take any damage. After the fight, you'll drop some cups, your hero will be ready to get right back in the action and it cost you nothing!

5. Giving your hero a rest

Giving Hero Rest
Giving Hero Rest

After the version 3.25 patch, the regeneration time of heroes was significantly reduced it can be very frustrating when you are in the middle of an intense raiding session, take a five minute bio break, and come back to find that you've been attacked and your hero is KOd. You can fix this! On the hero pedestal the middle button controls whether the hero is in Guard or Sleep mode. When you toggle it to Guard he/she will defend your village when you are away risking KO. When you toggle it to Sleep your hero will sleep safely on his/her pedestal and remain fully charged and available when next you seek to use him/her for raiding.

6. Saving the Campaign for a last big push

Add caption

There is a game tip during the load screens which says that if you are need a little more resources you can fight the Goblins in the single player campaign. This is true, but if you played the early missions you probably feel that the resource pay out is ridiculously puny and you'd be right. You can win up to 4.8 million gold and elixir in the campaign, but 3 million of that comes in the last 5 levels. These levels may at first seem impossible, but as you upgrade your units to around level 4-5 you ll find they aren't too bad. Also bear in mind that I'm speaking just about poaching them for resources, and not necessarily getting 3 stars. If you save these 5 levels for a rainy day, they can either cover a large portion or the complete balance needed for later upgrades like Town Hall Level 9, Barbs/Archers Level 5, or similar. The fact that you can rack up this loot while you are shielded means that you can get within striking distance while raiding, and then use the campaign to get you to the finish line stress free.

7. Traps and Teslas, the element of surprise

The greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the world that he did not exist.

Supercell gives you many strategic options for defence, but perhaps the most powerful is the element of surprise. Traps and the defensive Hidden Tesla do not appear to opponents when they look at your park, and while there are tricks to figure out where they are, a matchmade opponent will only have seconds to try and figure it out. Psychologically, many will find it hard to keep focus on the hidden as they struggle to analyze and consume all of the visible defenses and plan their attack. Use this to your advantage. Funnel units through a weakness in a wall, then blast them with Bombs. Leave your Town Hall out in the cold, but surround it with Teslas to punish unprepared attackers. Clash of Clans is a game about raiding, and the odds are stacked against defenders. You wont win every assault, but if you use the hidden elements in your arsenal wisely, you ll win a good quantity often a majority or at least enough to remain trophy neutral.
