Defenses In Clash Of Clan For Each Town Hall

Defensive Towers & Buildings List

As your Town Hall and trophy count increase in level, you will face opponents possessing with larger and larger armies consisting of stronger and stronger units. The higher your Town Hall level, the more loot enemy players can steal during raids. Defensive structures (towers, walls, and the Clan Castle) will help protect your valuable loot so that you can save up for expensive upgrades in relative peace.
In this section, we will provide a full list of defensive structures along with an overview of the function of each structure and the best strategy for using it. You will also find a link to a full guide on each particular structure detailing specific stats like damage, cost, levels & upgrades, and additional strategy.

Wall

WALL
WALL

Walls can be used to build barriers around your resources and defensive structures. Enemy ground units must destroy walls before they can get to whatever is inside. Walls start out with very little HP, but a significant amount of health with each upgrade. As upgrades increase, Walls become very difficult for enemy units to break through.

Be careful with your wall placement. Enemy units can be dropped just two empty spaces away from any structure. As a result, if you make a big square wall but leave open space in the center of that wall, the enemy can drop units in that open space. Additionally, try to avoid 4-way intersections with your wall placement. This style of wall-in allows an enemy unit to break down just the midpoint in the intersection and access each area within the wall.

Ideally, you want your opponent to have to break through multiple walls in order to reach your resource storage points. You also want your enemy to have to break through multiple walls in order to reach all of your defensive towers. This ensures that your Towers have enough time to defeat the enemy’s army. Defensive towers do a lot of damage but do not have much health, so protecting them with walls is extremely important.

Clan Castle

;

CLAN CASTLE
CLAN CASTLE

The Clan Castle is the most powerful defensive structure in Clash of Clans, although it is frequently terribly misused by new players. The Clan Castle allows you to store units inside (donated by Clan members) which will come out and attack enemy units when enemy units come within the Clan Castle’s range. Units will not leave the Clan Castle until enemy units come within its range.

Most new players make the mistake of sticking the Clan Castle on the outside of their walls and not considering the Clan Castle a defensive structure. The enemy can just drop 30 Archers on top of the Clan Castle and take out all of your units stored inside. Instead, the Clan Castle does best when placed at the heart of your base. This way, the enemy will be within range of your defensive structures by the time your units come out of the Clan Castle. The enemy will then have to deal with your Clan Castle units in addition to your towers.

Centralizing your Clan Castle becomes particularly important at Town Hall 7. Before Town Hall 7, you do not have enough structures to prevent enemy players from drawing out your Clan Castle units.

Cannon

CANNON
CANNON

Much like the Cannon, the Archer Tower is an early defensive structure that deals single-target damage. The Archer Tower does not deal quite as much DPS as the cannon, but has a longer range and can hit both air and ground units. Archer Towers, much like Cannons, are good all around structures that perform well against a handful of units but get overwhelmed by larger numbers.

Archer Towers do well spread out around the perimeter of a base given their long range and all-around strength. It is ideal to pair Archer Towers with Cannons so that Cannons cannot be sniped by enemy air units.

Mortar

MORTAR
MORTAR

Mortars are the first source of splash damage in Clash of Clans. The very slow but high-damage round that a Mortar fires out will explode upon impact, dealing damage to all units caught within its blast. Upgrading your Mortar is extremely important as this allows it to one-shot enemy Archers. A Mortar will one-shot Archers of the same level (or less). For example, a level 4 Mortar will kill enemy 4-star Archers in one hit. A Mortar that is able to kill a group of Archers in a single hit significantly reduces the effectiveness of mass Archer armies.

Mortars have long maximum range, but cannot hit any enemies that get too close (i.e. there is a minimum range). Due to their minimum range and their relative importance, Mortars should be placed towards the interior of a base so that they have some protection against enemy units. Ideally, an enemy will have to break down at least two walls to reach a mortar. It is also helpful to pair an Air Defense tower with the Mortar to protect it from enemy air units.

Air Defense

AIR DEFENSE
AIR DEFENSE

Air Defense towers are the only tower in the game that can only hit air units. While Air Defense towers can only hit air units, they have by far the highest single-target DPS of any defensive structure in the game. The Air Defense tower also has a very long range. As a result, no air unit can survive for long when within range of an Air Defense tower.

The Air Defense tower is crucial for defense against both Healers and Dragons. You will want to spread these out and keep them towards the interior of your base in order to simultaneously protect the Air Defense towers while allowing them to defend most of your base.

Unlike many other structures, Air Defense Towers do significant damage even at rank 1. You never want to upgrade more than one Air Defense Tower at once or you leave yourself very susceptible to enemy attacks that are supported by Healers.

Wizard Tower

WIZARD TOWER
WIZARD TOWER

The Wizard Tower deals relatively low DPS, but has a fast attack that deals splash damage. It can hit both ground and air units. It has a short range (but no minimum range), making it like the opposite of the Mortar. The Mortar fires slowly and hits enemies far away, while the Wizard Tower fires quickly and hits nearby enemies.

The Wizard Tower does best when placed towards the interior of the base (but not in the complete center of the base). It especially shines when near resource storage buildings, as the Wizard Tower is particularly strong against clumps of Goblins that may come rushing in to steal your loot. The Wizard Tower is by far the best counter in the game to mass Goblins. Goblins will outrun Mortars but cannot outrun the Wizard Tower.

Hidden Tesla

HIDDEN TESLA
HIDDEN TESLA

The Hidden Tesla is a trap and defensive structure Hybrid. It can only fire once enemy units get close to it (or the enemy reaches 51% of a base destroyed). Once activated, it fires a very fast attack that can hit either ground and air units at a moderate range. When upgraded, it does very high single-target DPS, but upgrading it takes an unusually long amount of time. Upgrading a Hidden Tesla up to its max level takes nearly 2 months!

The Hidden Tesla only takes up 4 total units of space (2×2); other defensive structures take up 9 units (3×3).

X-Bow

X-BOW
X-BOW

The X-Bow is a high-level tower that costs Elixir to fire. It fires a very fast attack that deals light damage with each attack. Despite the similar damage levels to the Cannon or Archer Tower, the X-Bow’s fast firing rate makes it a bit more effective against light units like Barbarians or Archers that can otherwise easily overwhelm a single Cannon or Archer Tower.

The X-Bow has two modes; one is a very-long range ground-only attack while the other can hit both ground and air units but has a shorter range – there is no difference in damage between modes. In either mode, the X-Bow has a very large range (11 units for ground & air, 14 units for ground-only). Due to its long range, the X-Bow does well when placed towards the center of the base. This allows it to cover a large portion of the base, allowing it to protect you from any side from which the enemy may make an attack.

The range of the X-Bow is its real strength. With the X-Bow, ring-shaped base layouts become viable, as the X-Bows are able to cover large areas to mow down enemy units that target defensive structures (Hog Riders, Giants, and even Golems) that may be being sent in a ring-shaped pattern. High level bases that rely on the X-Bow for a ring-shaped defense are often called “ringus” bases.

Inferno Tower

INFERNO TOWER
INFERNO TOWER

The Inferno Tower is the highest-level tower in the game (you must have a level 10 Town Hall). It is powered off of Dark Elixir and will only attack when loaded with Dark Elixir. The Inferno Tower’s special effect is that units that are being targeted by it can no longer be healed. This prevents units like Healers or from Healing Spells for keeping units alive while attacking an Inferno Tower.
The Inferno Tower has two modes: multi-attack and single attack. The multi-attack feature allows the Inferno Tower to deal modest damage to up to five enemy units within range, whereas the single attack feature allows the Inferno Tower to deal extreme damage to an enemy unit, but only after targeting it for five seconds. The multi-attack feature works best against most units, but the single attack feature is very effective against high health units like Dragons or Golems.
Most players seem to prefer the 5 target setting, as the healing debuff is perhaps the real strength of the Inferno Tower rather than its damage alone. Some may put both towers near each other with one set to each mode so that the towers can protect one another from attacks.
The Inferno Tower generally should be placed in the center of your base. This not only ensures that the Inferno Tower is one of the last defensive structures to be destroyed, but it also ensures that the tower does not fire against weak attacks as it has to be reloaded with Dark Elixir to function.

Guide Tips For Clan Wars In Clash Of Clan

Tips For Clan Wars In Clash Of Clan

WAR TIPS CLASH OF CLAN
WAR TIPS CLASH OF CLAN

Clan Wars are the new hotness in Clash of Clans. Winning Clan Wars takes some different strategies from your normal base raids, though. If you’re having trouble getting stars for your clan in Clan Wars, you should check out this article! I’ll share 5 quick tips for Clan Wars that are sure to make you a Clan Wars pro in no time.

#1: Clan Wars Raids Require Different Strategies

Normally when raiding for resources, the cost of your army is an important concern. You might use spells, Giants and Wall Breakers sparingly, for instance, since they’re so expensive. The rewards in Clan Wars are much greater, even if the base is relatively weak. Plus, you’re benefiting the entire clan with every star you earn. Thus, the price of your army is a lot less important. Go all out!

Enemy Clan Castle troops can ruin your raid. Usually in regular raiding, finding a full Clan Castle is a bit unusual. In Clan Wars, though, Clan Castle troops are all but guaranteed. It’s also likely that they’re going to come from the most well-developed base in the Clan War. The Clan Castle has a large attack radius, so it’s possible to “sucker” them out and into a part of the map where you can deal with them more easily. Once they’ve left the Clan Castle, these troops will head towards your attacking forces, regardless of where they are on the map.

Common Mistake! It takes time to get all the troops out of the Clan Castle. If there are a lot of them, and you send a single, easily killed troop in to lure them out, you might not get all of them out on the first try. I also see a lot of people use the wrong troops or in the wrong configuration to fight a Clan Castle troop formation. For instance, Wizards do splash damage. Grouping up your troops to attack Clan Castle Wizards is not particularly effective.

For instance, say there’s a mortar tower in a critical area and you’ve got 2 lightning spells ready to take it out. If you drop one troop within the Clan Castle radius and get the Clan Castle troops to chase that guy over top of the mortar tower, you can lightning both the troops and the mortar at once, doubling up on your damage output!

#2: Check the Replay

Once everyone’s done their first raid, it’s a good time to take a step back and see what your next target should be. Again, calling your second target early is a good idea, so everyone knows where you’re planning to invest your second attack.

WAR TIPS CLASH OF CLAN
WAR TIPS CLASH OF CLAN

The most powerful thing you have at your disposal is the replay from the best attack against each base. Remember that the enemy can no longer make changes to their War Base or their Clan Castle, so whatever traps and troops you see in the replay are what you’re going to get during your second attack. You can often find out where their Hidden Teslas are, for instance.

If you see some powerful Clan Castle troops, you might change up your strategy somewhat to deal with them.

#3: Scout Early & Call Your First Attack

During preparation day, you can view the enemy bases. The best thing you can do is to pick your top bases to raid. Once you’ve done this, let your clan know. Make sure everyone has a unique target for their first raid.

Remember that only the best attack against a given base counts. Thus, if you and another clanmate both decide to use your first attack on the same enemy, chances are good that stars are going to go to waste.

Scouting early also allows you to plan your attacking forces and request the appropriate troops for your clan castle to use during the raid.

Sometimes it helps to plan out your attack during preparation day, train up the troops you plan to use, and then find a base like the one you plan to raid and test out your strategy. Did you manage to break enough buildings for 1 star? Did you manage to get to their town hall? If not, you might have to rethink your troop mix or your attack strategy.

#4: War Base Management

The War Base is just a copy of your normal base by default. It’s important that you customize the layout of your war base, especially to protect your Town Hall. You’re likely to be up against at least a few players who are significantly higher level than you, and chances are they have access to troops that you normally wouldn’t see attacking your base.

I also suggest creating zones for your defenses. Don’t put all your mortars inside the same wall, for instance. This leaves you vulnerable to Giant assaults. You should also carefully place air defenses so that all the possible routes into the center of your base are covered. Otherwise, it may be possible for a smart attacker to send air units past some of your more challenging defenses in order to take your Town Hall or critical defensive structures out with ease.

While you’re setting up your War Base, you can also request troops to defend it. Unlike troops you request from your clan normally, these troops are not used up when your War Base is raided. They will defend your Clan Castle repeatedly, even if they are defeated in previous raids. Also remember that you can kick out troops from your War Base’s Clan Castle if they’re not what you want.

#5: Know Your Goal

The goal in Clan Wars is simple – stars. You need to get stars in order to win. Resources don’t matter at all. This can be a difficult thing to deal with, as most of the raiding you do in Clash of Clans is generally focused on resource raiding rather than for acquiring trophies. Thus, you’ll want to adapt your strategies accordingly.

Remember what you get stars for:

Destroying the enemy Town Hall
Destroying 50% of the base
Destroying 100% of the base

Most mid-level bases don’t have enough walls to protect all of their buildings. Thus, it can be pretty easy to get just one star on an attack – a lot of the buildings will be located in underprotected areas, or even out at the edges where nothing is defending them.

Usually people will outfit their war bases so their Town Hall is at the center of their base. Thus, it tends to be the second easiest star to get. If you can manage to get into the center of the base, it’s generally yours.

WAR TIPS CLASH OF CLAN
WAR TIPS CLASH OF CLAN

Clash of Clans Clan War Tips: Town Hall!

Common Mistake! I see a lot of people get 75% or more damage to a base without getting a second star. Usually this means you trashed more of the base than you needed to in order to hit the town hall. Most troops will attack whatever is closest, and those that have a preferred target don’t tend to target town halls. Strategic troop dropping is key. What I try to do is drop troops so that I create a “wedge” into their base, stripping a slice of their base to the studs. Then I can drop some ranged units (like archers) so that their closest target is the town hall. This means you’re going to have to save some troops until late in the fight, but when every star counts it can help a lot.

Finally, completely crushing an opponent will net you that third and final star. This can be tricky to do, since the game tends to match clans at approximately the same power level. Thus, the chances that you will completely outmatch your opponent are relatively low unless you’re the most powerful person in your clan.

Pro Tip Time is not on your side during a raid, especially if you are trying to go for 100%. I’ve seen attacks fail to destroy everything due to a lack of time, and I’ve also been in situations where I would have destroyed a Town Hall and gotten an extra star if I’d had a few more seconds. Make sure your strategy is fast enough to win!

How To Get Gems Fast In COC

All free-to-play games have a way to suck the money out of your wallet. In Clash of Clans, gems are the primary way to spend money. We call these types of things “premium currencies” because they cost actual, real-life dollars. Every Clash of Clans player wonders “How do I get more free gems?” and “What should I spend my gems on?” In this article, we’ll give you the lowdown on the ways to get maximum free gems in Clash of Clans, and what you should spend your Clash of Clans gems on.

Acquiring Clash of Clans Gems

There are three major ways to get gems in Clash of Clans:
  1. Buy them.
  2. Remove landscape items from your base
  3. Get achievements

Buying Gems in Clash of Clans
The first one is obviously the fastest, but it costs you cash. If you like the game, though, dropping a few bucks can be a good way to show your support. After all, most games cost money up front, while Clash of Clans can be played for free for as long as you want. If you would normally drop $20 to play a 20 hour game, how much would you be willing to spend for a game as long as Clash of Clans? It depends on how much fun you’re getting out of the game, no doubt.

CHEST OF GEMS

Another thing to consider is if you’ve got credit to, say, the iTunes store, but you normally play on an Android phone or tablet, you could temporarily install Clash of Clans on an iOS device to use that credit to buy gems. Just be sure you trust the device (and its owner) before you do this.
Pro Tip Especially around the holidays, you can find discounted iTunes gift cards. This can be a cheap way to stretch your Clash of Clans gem funds a bit further.

Free Gems in Clash of Clans

A BIG FAT WARNING There are a TON of scams on the INTERNET that claim to give you “free Clash of Clans gems!!!” Rest assured that there is no hack, glitch, cheat, etc that will give you free gems. These are all scams, to a one. They will either make you jump through hoops (for which the supposed “hack makers” get money) or they will steal your personal information. Do not, under any circumstances, trust any site that advertises free gems. If ANYONE posts “totally legit, not at all a scam” info about hacking/cheating/glitching this game on our site, I will remove it and immediately notify SuperCell with all the info I have about you so that you hopefully get banned from the game. You have been warned.
For whatever reason, though, you might not be inclined to buy Clash of Clans gems. I, myself, have a mental block about paying for anything I could just play to earn or wait around for. Thus, I stick to the free options myself. That leaves us with two choices.

Obstacles

The first is removing obstacles or “trimming the bushes” so to speak. Whenever you send a builder to remove a bush, tree, or any other misc object on your base, there’s a chance you’ll find gems. This means it pays to keep the lawn clean!

GEM BOX

There’s one special obstacle item, and that’s the Gem Box. It gives a guaranteed, whopping 25 free gems whenever you find and remove one. They’re random, though, so you’ll just have to wait around and get lucky.
Pro Tip New obstacles will only spawn in your base if you have free space and there aren’t too many obstacles already. Make sure you occasionally invest time in removing obstacles, or you’ll miss out on your chance to free gems from gem boxes!

Achievements

Besides removing obstacles, the other easy way to get free gems in Clash of Clans is via achievements. Most achievements award gems with every level of them you complete. Most achievements you’re going to get just through normal play, but there are a few that are worthy of noting:

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Get Those Goblins – chances are you’ve neglected the single player campaign – I know I have. Once you’re powerful enough to just roll the single player levels, you might as well hit these levels for the gems. This is a good one to do while you’re upgrading walls and have no reason to hang onto your elixir.
  • Nice and Tidy – you get this for removing obstacles which is the other major way to get gems. So, double win!
  • Union Buster – this achievement is for destroying builder’s huts. Many people stick these in the corners of their base, so while you’re raiding just drop an extra archer or barb nearby to earn points towards this.
  • Sweet Victory! – the third level of this achievement only requires 1,250 trophies. This is a piece of cake. Just make sure you protect your town hall, and get out there and raid, raid, raid!
  • League All-Star – the first level of this one requires you to get to Crystal League, which is 2,000 trophies. However, the reward is 250 gems, so it’s well worth the effort.
  • Make no mistake, the major gem profits are in obstacle removal. However, you can get a bit of a boost from these achievements if you make the time to unlock them!

Spending Clash of Clans Gems

People are always asking me, “what should I spend my gems on in Clash of Clans?” to which I usually reply, “uhhh, I don’t know you, but can I please have my vanilla shake now?” But they do have a valid question. Gems can be used for almost anything, so knowing what to prioritize can be tricky.
My suggestions for what to spend your Clash of Clans gems on are as follows:

Builders

If you have 3 or fewer builders, buy more builders. The fourth builder is a bit harder to justify. It can be useful when your Town Hall first levels up to have a 4th builder, or even a 5th. However, a lot of upgrades like walls and the lab upgrades just require a lot of resources and/or time, with little to no help from additional builders.

BUILDER HUT

Also, the cost of each builder in Clash of Clans increases significantly, making the cost of that fifth builder kind of unreasonable compared to the other things you can spend gems on.

Dark Elixir

Once you have 3 or 4 Clash of Clans builders, the next priority is probably buying Dark Elixir. There are two major things you want to buy Dark Elixir for:
Your Hero units – the Barbarian King and Archer Queen. You can buy the Barbarian King at TH7, as long as you’ve built the Dark Elixir storage. Raiding for Dark Elixir is tricky at Town Hall 7 though. It can be done, if you are very patient. Chances are you will have a tough time protecting any raided Dark Elixir as well. Thus, I suggest saving your gems to rush the Barbarian King at Town Hall 7. Having him around means you’ve got an extra powerful unit that doesn’t take any camp space.

BUY DARK ELIXIR USING GEMS

Now, there are upgrades to these Hero units as well, and taking them can be quite helpful. Once these units get to level 5, they also gain a special ability. I suggest prioritizing your gems for these upgrades whenever you can.
Lab upgrades for your Dark Elixir troops. Dark Elixir troops unlock at Town Hall 7. They are super powerful game changing units, but without leveling them up, they’re not particularly useful. Increasing the level of your Dark Elixir troops takes… wait for it… Dark Elixir. Hog riders in particular have been overpowered recently, and you see them a lot in raids at the higher levels. Get those riders upgraded, with gems, if needed!

Boosting

Boosting your Barracks, Dark Barracks, and/or Spell Factory can be a viable strategy if you plan to sit down and playClash of Clans for extended periods at a time. If you run fast-training troops (like, say BARCH or something similar), boosting your Barracks can let you raid over and over again with minimal downtime.
This means you can accumulate resources and trophies super quick. It also means that you’re probably playing the game continuously, which will keep enemy raiders at bay.
Bottom line – if you’ve got a couple of solid hours to play and need a lot of resources to keep your builders/lab busy, it can pay to boost your army production and raid constantly with gems.

Wrapping Up Prep Day Upgrades

If you’re a hardcore Clan Wars combatant, chances are your clan is warring when you’re upgrading.
The thing to know about base upgrades and Clan Wars is that any building upgrade in progress is “rolled back” in your war base. Thus, if you’re upgrading a mortar from 5 to 6, but it’s not done upgrading to 6 by the end of prep day, the mortar will be level 5 during the war.
Thus, it can be a good idea to wrap up upgrades that are close to being finished when prep day ends. Say that mortar upgrade has only a couple of hours left – just drop the gems, and enjoy the benefits of that shiny new mortar throughout the war!
Some upgrades matter more than others, and it’s somewhat unlikely that just one defense upgrade will change the tide of an entire war. Still, if it’s cheap, why not give yourself every advantage you can?

Upgrades that require completely full storages

If you’ve got gems laying around and aren’t sure what to do with them at this point, or you just don’t want to listen to the advice I’ve given in the previous sections, this is the third and final thing I’d suggest using your gems on inClash of Clans.
As you approach the most powerful upgrades you can get at a given Town Hall level, you’ll come across upgrades that require you to max out your gold, dark elixir, or elixir storages in order to afford them. This is hard to do, for several reasons:
You generally have to spend this stuff in order to make it, so maxing it out is tricky.
The more of a resource you have, the more likely it is you’re going to get attacked.
The more full your storages are, the more enemies will take each time they hit it. Even a lone archer that survives your defenses can take a toll on your stockpiles.
For this reason, I’d suggest getting as close as possible to maxing your storages out, and then spend a few gems to push you the rest of the way. It is a lot less frustrating than the alternatives.
However, as I said, there are other, better ways to spend your gems.

Other Stuff

Beyond this point, I’d highly suggest you just hold onto your gems. No doubt SuperCell is going to add new stuff to the game. If you have a small stockpile of gems, you can be the first kid on your block (or player in your clan) to get it. This can create a small tactical advantage for a while.
Occasionally Supercell will run a Clash of Clans event where you can get extra stuff for your gems. For instance, recently there was an event where you could boost your collectors for an entire week at a cost of 1 gem. Many people took advantage of this. I kind of felt it was a good time to raid, and I probably would suggest boosting Dark Elixir drills during these events.
I personally don’t like to skip wait times in the game with gems, as the game is essentially one enormous wait time. If you’re buying gems with money regularly, you can kind of spend them however you like. However, if you’ve got a lot, feel free to use them this way if it makes you happy!

Conclusion

That’s it, that’s everything I know about gems in Clash of Clans. In this article, I showed you how to maximize your free gems by clearing obstacles and focusing on achievements. Then I gave you the rundown on the best ways to spend the gems you’ve stockpiled.
It’s my aim to make this the best freakin’ guide to Clash of Clans gems on the internet. If you know something I don’t, leave a comment! I really appreciate any corrections or suggestions other players have.

Should I Rush With Town Hall

In Clash of Clans, questions about rushing Town Hall always have a lot of attentions from players. This detailed guide about rushing Town Hall has all important information, popular questions and walk-through that you should know!

RUSHED TOWHALL

What are the pros and cons of rushing Town Hall?

Pros:

You can farm the maximum amount of loot with the shortest playing time.

You can 3 stars other players who spend longer time than you for developing their villages. This is such a great advantage in Clan Wars due to the weight of rushed bases.

Donate high level troops for your Clan mates.

Better resource management with cheap upgrades alongside expensive upgrades, especially in this new Clash of Clans Era, we shouldn’t save up more than 1 resource at a time.

Cons:

Fixing rushed base is really boring If you don’t know how to do it right.

The starting time of the new TH level will be so hard.

Things you need to know about Rushing Town Hall

You can’t protect your loot

That’s right. You just can’t. But as a normal player, that amount of loot can’t affect your progress because it is much smaller than the number you get farm after a few raids. If you can’t save loot for a big upgrade, you should scroll down to the walk-through section. Always break the shield when you have time for farming couples of raids.

You should stay at Gold League and Silver League, where you always can find inactive bases and attack a few times before getting a shield. Also, don’t save up more than 2 resources at a time. Nobody attacks you If you have 300kGold and 50kElixir.

If your TH9/10 village always get wrecked, go to Master League Master leagues (by using this troll base, normally it takes just about 1 day) and farm by using Barch.

Loot penalty will hurt you

Somehow, If you can’t find dead bases, there is no reason for you to attack the lower TH villages. The higher TH you attack, the more loot you can raid. Don’t mourn some Spells for getting 200k Elixir.

Rushed Town Hall and Clan War

In fact, the Town Hall can’t affect the Clan War matchmaking and your position in the War. It is because of the exclusive defense buildings of each Town Hall level like X-Bow at TH9 or Inferno Tower at TH10. Don’t either build the new defense buildings (even Walls) or unlock new troops If you want to join Clan War during this time. In short, If you can 3 stars your own base, you are ready for Clan Wars!
Maybe your base can easily get 3 starred in the Clan Wars. But that’s totally OK because offense wins the War, not defense. In Clan War, attackers always want to get at least 2 stars when raiding the same TH level player. As a rushed Town Hall, you can save 1-2 stars or even more for your Clan because some higher level THs of the opponent Clan will attack you. That is such a big advantage!

Town Hall x.5 is a type of rushing Town Hall, which gives players plenty of of advantages in Clan Wars.

To be a successful farmer

As I said above, the loot which you can lose is just a small number, you can take it back after 1 raid. All you need to be a successful farmer is attacking more than 2 times before you log off without Shield. In fact, you just need to farm about 100k-150k Elixir a day (Collectors will do the rest) to make your Laboratory working till the end.

If your farming troops are not strong enough, you should give the Milking strategy a try.

Is rushing TH risky?

If there is no way to recover your account after rushing, yes, it is risky. Never go to a new Town Hall level If you don’t have maxed level farming troops and Collectors.

Walk-through for rushing Town Hall

There are a lot of opinions about rushing in Clash of Clans but all in all your farming skill must match the progression of your village, this is the key for taking all the advantages of rushing Town Hall.

I recommend you follow this upgrade order at all Town Hall levels

Spell Factory/Laboratory/Clan Castle~> Army Camps ~> Heroes ~> Barracks and Dark Barracks ~> Defenses ~> Collectors.

Follow these suggestions:

Always rearm your traps and defenses otherwise you will lose much more loot than the number you use for rearming them.

Find a good farming base at Clash of Clans Layouts.

Don’t break shield If you can’t farm more than 2 times continuously.

Town Hall 1 ~> 6

This is the easiest part of the game. Just keep upgrading your Town Hall and Storages nonstop. Upgrade other buildings whenever you want. Before Town Hall 7, farming with just only Barbarians and Goblin is the most effective and efficient strategy. Don’t forget to upgrade Archers, Barbarians, Giants and Wall Breakers nonstop for farming when you at Town Hall 7.

Town Hall 7

Once you hit Town Hall 7, you can build the final Barrack. With 4 Barracks, Barch is the best farming strategy for TH7. Now, you need to stop rushing a bit and complete the Laboratory upgrades. You should max out all Spells, farming troops and especially the Dragon if you want to join the Clan Wars. You don’t need to care about Dark Elixir for upgrading the Barbarian King, you can easily do that later. Keep upgrading your Barracks whenever you have loot.

If you want to start an alt account, I recommend rushing to Town Hall 7.

Town Hall 8 ~> 9 ~> 10 ~> 11

As most Clash of Clans elite players suggest, you should stop rushing a bit when you hit Town Hall 8 because since TH8 the game is much harder.

Hope this helped!!!

How To Earn Trophies

The Basics about Trophy Pushing

In general, when we talk about Trophy Pushing (or also Trophy Hunting) It’s all about earning trophies and climbing through Leagues. In most cases, a Trophy Pusher uses more expensive armies, ignores the loot and only attacks a base that will reward at least 1 Star for Trophies.

Is Trophy Pushing only for TH11 end game Clashers?

No. Trophy Pushing has several motivations:
Improve skills with serious attacking strategies (to be more successful in Clan War)
Setting up a personal record in the Player Info Tab
Earn the Achievements for the extra Gems to get an additional Builder
Reach a higher League to earn a better League Bonus for farming

You see that most of the reasons for Trophy Pushing are aiming to almost all Clashers.

How does Trophy Pushing work?

Simple spoken, it’s earning more Trophies than you lose. In this post, I want to show you some tricks you should use to reach your goal faster and also link some related guides that will get deeper into particular topics.

Trophy Pushing Step-by-Step to enter the League of your dreams

We will have to look at the offense and defense perspective separately, and I will share my personal experience about pushing Cups with you.

Trophy Pusher Attacking Strategy

I already mentioned that you will have to earn more Trophies than you lose – and at a certain point most of your attacks will not be successful. The defensive part is the next chapter, but you have to be aware that you have to attack a lot. First of all, you need a strategy that you feel comfortable with and also, very important, have troops that are very much upgraded. Depending on your Town Hall Level, I recommend one of these compositions:

Trophy Pushing Town Hall 8 and lower

The first time when you push you will go for the Master League to get the Achievement for the extra Gems that will help you get another Builder. Being a Town Hall 8 or lower, you can push easily without an expensive army and you will 3 Star a lot.

The best attacking strategy I recommend you use is with Giants and Healers

If you’re looking for an attacking style that is very fast and allows you to attack multiple time during a session you can also use the old-fashioned BARCH

Trophy Pushing Town Hall 9

I recommend using air attacks because many other TH9 player haven’t upgraded their Air Defenses and are a very easy target

If you’re not a huge fan of air attacks or maybe your air troops aren’t upgraded enough to use, you can also make good progress with the old-fashioned GoWiPe

I know there are other 3 Star strategies out there like GoHo, etc., but they require deeper scouting and are not required to trophy push.

Trophy Pushing Town Hall 10 & Town Hall 11

The easiest way is using either Bowlers or Valkyrie attacks. They are created quickly for quite a fair price and you have the possibility to 2-Star and 3-Star a lot.

It’s always a question of your personal favor.

My recommendation is that you start using an attacking strategy and then use it exclusively instead of switching around a lot. You will get better in scouting and performing the attack with each time you use it and this makes it much easier for you long-term.

Work with shields and attacks

Everyone has different schedules – some can do frequent attacks during the day, others can only attack in the morning once and a couple of times during the evening. It’s critical that you start using attacks as often as possible – scouting plus attacking takes about 5-7 minutes, it’s often possible to do attacks, even if you’re busy during the day!

Keep the motivation up

Trophy Pushing can be hard sometimes and it’s easy to lose focus. Let me help you with some motivation that might keep up your focus

Set yourself small goals, like winning a certain amount of attacks each day. From my experience, don’t set yourself goals like gaining 30 cups per day, because then you might go for an attack to fulfill that goal and might screw up the attack.

It’s always your primary goal to NOT lose an attack. Gaining only a few trophies from a secure attack is better than losing a lot by going after a base that will reward a lot of trophies!
Defending and Trophy Pushing

Using a Trophy Base is very important! You need to protect your Stars as much as possible, even if you know you will lose most of the attacks after having passed a certain point in Trophies.

Many use a Anti-3-Star War Base designs for pushing, which is not perfect!

A Trophy Base Design has the possibility to sometimes win a defense!

A War Base Design always tries to prevent getting 3-Stared!

This is very important! When your trophy base defends successfully, you will make up for some lost defenses. Only protecting the 3rd Star is rewarding less in total.

Don’t worry if you lose some defenses as long as there are some in between that you haven’t lost. Good Trophy Base Layouts can maintain a certain trophy count, more or less. That Point is called the Breaking Point.

Don’t forget to request defending Clan Castle troops before you end a session (or after an attack). Clan Castle troops can make the difference in defending trophies!

Conclusion

Trophy Pushing is nothing you do in a couple of days. If you’re doing it, for whatever reason you do it, you first have to be aware that it requires a lot of time.

Setting yourself daily goals helps a lot – Just set something that is realistic, like “today I will gain 10 Stars” or “I want to win 3 attacks every day”. The most important thing is that these goals are realistic because not being able to hit them will be negative motivation.

Good luck with pushing and have fun!
